Terms of Service

Last updated: May 29, 2026

1. Who you are contracting with

LectureSnap is operated by Fernando Javier Calvo Meza ("LectureSnap", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using LectureSnap, you ("you") enter into a binding agreement with Fernando Javier Calvo Meza on these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Your content

You retain all rights to the notes, files, and material you upload. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host and process that content solely to provide the service to you (e.g. generating summaries and flashcards).

3. Acceptable use

Do not upload content you do not have the right to use, content that is illegal, or content intended to harm others. Do not attempt to abuse, reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or circumvent the technical limits of the service. Do not use the service for fraud, spam, malware, or to infringe intellectual property rights.

4. AI-generated output

AI-generated summaries, flashcards, and quizzes may contain inaccuracies. Always verify important information against your source material. LectureSnap is a study aid, not a substitute for expert advice. You are responsible for your prompts, how you use outputs, and for having the rights to any content you input.

5. Payments, subscriptions, and Merchant of Record

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. By purchasing a paid plan, you also agree to Paddle's Buyer Terms, which govern payment, billing, taxes, renewals, cancellations, and refunds. Paid plans are offered as recurring subscriptions (e.g. monthly) and renew automatically at the then-current price until cancelled. You can cancel at any time via Paddle's customer portal (paddle.net); cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period and you retain access until then.

6. Refunds

See our Refund Policy.

7. Service availability

We work hard to keep LectureSnap available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may change or discontinue features at any time.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the service, in whole or in part, in the event of: (a) material breach of these Terms; (b) non-payment; (c) suspected fraud, abuse, or security risk; or (d) repeated or serious violation of our acceptable use policy. Where reasonable, we will give you notice. You may stop using the service and close your account at any time.

9. Intellectual property

We retain all rights, title, and interest in the LectureSnap service, software, branding, and documentation. These Terms grant you no rights to our IP except the limited right to use the service.

10. Limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, LectureSnap is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill.
